Visit I (Fertilizer w/Pre-emergent) April-May
High nitrogen granular application applied with crabgrass pre-emergent. A minimal amount of herbicide is applied now so that there will be very limited use later. Also, pH is tested and recorded. In some cases, we may also apply fast absorbing calcitic limestone to correct the pH.
Visit II (Fertilizer w/ 2nd Pre-emergent) May-June
Granular fertilizer with grub control (if applicable) is applied to the lawn. Spot treating of weeds if needed/requested is also applied now.
Visit III (Fertilizer w/ Grub Control)June- July
Granular drought-tolerant fertilizer is applied that combats any potential drought concerns. Spot treating of weeds and crabgrass is also done at this time if needed/requested.
Visit IV (Drought Tolerant Application) July - August
Granular drought-tolerant fertilizer is applied that combats any potential drought concerns. Spot treating of weeds and crabgrass is also done at this time if needed/requested.
Visit V (Calcitic Limestone) August-September
Granular fast absorbing calcitic lime is applied based on the previously recorded pH notes. The Spot treating of crabgrass and weeds and is done if needed/requested. In some cases, we may also apply fertilizer if the lawn appears anemic
Visit VI (Granular Fertilizer w/Potassium) September-October
Granular application with potassium is applied for one final feeding before the lawn goes into winter dormancy. This application helps strengthen the root system.
